Highest Rated Cuban Cigars

For many people, Cuba represents the absolute best in cigars. Tobacco grown in this part of the world has a wonderful flavor for many different reasons. For starters, the tropical weather leads to wonderful growing conditions that greatly improve the yield of the plant as well as its health. Large amounts of sun and rain from this region give these cigars the best base of tobacco from which to begin the cigar making process. Additionally, as the production process continues with fermentation, the ample heat and moisture helps to give these products a natural flavor that is the fruits of a perfect environment for the process.

It’s unfortunate, but many people are not able to enjoy these products. The United States currently has a trade embargo against Cuba that has led to a ban on imports from this country. This means that in the US, cigars from this country are unavailable to smokers. This has been a huge problem for many smokers, but knowledge of this growing region is important for having a complete appreciation of the smoking world. Additionally, many neighboring countries like Canada and Mexico provide opportunities for eager smokers the chance to dive in with these beloved products.

Perhaps the best known of the highest rated Cuban cigars are Cohibas. These products have been seen in the mouths of many celebrities on the covers of magazines such as Cigar Aficionado. The especially large ones are highly prized. These products are hand rolled and the craftsmanship shows in the unique shape of the cigar, which is more box-like than circular like with machine rolled cigars.

After Cohibas, Monte Cristo is probably one of the most well known of cigars coming out of Cuba. This producer makes cigars from tobaccos from all over the world and combines them to produce some of the best cigars around. This also means that these are some of the more expensive products that can be found, but the quality is often very much worth the additional price. El Rey del Mundo is another brand that has stood out amongst producers as well.

Whenever you plan to purchase these products, you’ll have to pay a little more for the pleasure of buying from such a robust growing region. However, the cost can be surprisingly not much more expensive than many other cigars that are produced in the United States and elsewhere. Many quality cigars start at just $12, which is within the price range of most people.
