Flavored Cigars

Every type of tobacco you smoke is going to give you a great variety of flavors. This happens for many reasons – growing environment, preparation, and storage – but regardless of why some smokers often differ about the subtle hints of flavor in their smokes. Just like wine, this can be part of the fun of smoking cigars – discovering new flavors that intermix in new and surprising ways. However, there are specifically flavored cigars on the market that give a very intense specific flavor that can be quite delightful to smoke. Finding the right one for you can be a fun part of trying to expand your palette as a smoker.

One of the more interesting varieties that can be found is made by Acid. The production method used to make these cigars involves storing the tobacco in a room that has over 200 different oils and herbs to give the tobacco a flavor that is unique, but is difficult to place as well. Though this is a more complex mode of flavoring, another popular method of adding flavor to tobacco is to treat a certain percentage of the leaves with an alcohol. This can be whiskey, bourbon, brandy, or another type of liquor. For many, part of smoking involves drinking and these models can greatly contribute to the experience.

Other alternatives exist as well. These include tobaccos treated with honey. This is a delightfully sweet flavor that is very subtle. A good beginners variety, if you’re worried about a flavor being too strong. Another option available are cigars that are wrapped not with tobacco but another leaf to produce a very distinct flavor unique to a particular brand.
